Ripping out IV
When I was seven years old I remember my father having a mental breakdown to which we had to take him to the hospital where he was to stay overnight for observance. Knowing that after he was officially released he would go to a mental hospital or rehab against his will, he chose to rip his IV out of his arm and leave. When I asked my sister about my father ripping out his IV she asked me "Which time?" Then further she clarified that one time was likely due to the aforementioned fate, and that other times he was just having a mental breakdown and it seemed normal for him. Both times he was unsuccessful. I believe he was caught shortly after leaving his room
